Agra Golf Club
Agra Golf Club is the nine-hole golf course belonging to Agra Club Ltd., the city's old members' club at 191 The Mall / M G Road. The identity is solid: the address and switchboard number that golfpass prints for "Agra Golf Club" are, verbatim, Agra Club Ltd's own address and number in two independent club-affiliation directories, and the Club's own website says plainly that "A nine hole Golf Course is part of the Club and is located at a distance of around two kilometres from the Club". Golfpass dates the course to 1904 and gives par 36 over about 3,035 yards, with a driving range, putting green, caddies, rental clubs and a teaching pro — all of which rest on that one undated directory listing alone, so treat the detail with caution. The Club's site is genuinely maintained (its events page carries dated functions through Baisakhi 2026 and April 2026 photography), and an owner-published, maintained page naming the course as currently part of the Club is good evidence the course is operating. Two cautions are worth knowing. First, golfpass's "open to the public" is hard to square with the Club's own framing of the course and its Golf Hut as member facilities, and with the Club's appearance in reciprocal affiliated-club lists — the sources conflict, and the conflict is not resolved. Second, the domain agragolfcourse.com looks like the course's official site and is not: it is operated by 4moles.com, gives 4moles' own phone and email as the course's contact, and places the course at Taj Road, Tajganj rather than on The Mall. It is a directory lookalike, not the official website.

What we knowEverything on file, and what the sources disagreed about
On the defence-land question: Agra has a large cantonment and The Mall lies on the cantonment side of the city, so the CAG's 2010 audit of golf courses on defence land was checked. It gives no usable answer for Agra either way. Nothing on the Cantonment Board Agra site or in any official military or government document found mentions this course. There is therefore no evidence that it sits on defence land, and no evidence that it does not.
