Cambay Golf & Spa Resort, Gandhinagar

Cambay's Sector 25 campus in Gandhinagar (a GIDC plot the operator gives as 28 acres, opened as Cambay Spa Resort in 2004 and listed in golf directories as a 2006 course) is marketed by the operator under two hotel brands at one address — Cambay Sapphire and Opal Club / "Opal by Cambay" — sharing a single short golf course. The golf has not been dropped from the operator's marketing: the Gandhinagar property page calls the nine-hole course "the star attraction of this hotel" and describes a two-level driving range with sixteen stations measuring 240 m by 40 m, and there is a dedicated Gandhinagar golfing page. A golf directory adds a par-32, 2,266-yard championship card, and a 2022 magazine round-up (updated 2024) independently repeats "9-hole golf course with 30 turf stations, flood-lit courses (par 32)" for the same property. The problem is that every page on cambayhotels.com is frozen at "© 2020" with no date anywhere — a live but abandoned brochure site — and no source from 2025 or later mentions the course at all. So the picture is this: there is good evidence the course existed and was still being sold as recently as the site's last update, and no evidence whatsoever that it has closed, but nothing that shows it is playable today. A phone call to the property would settle it in a minute.
