Kensville Golf & Country Club

Kensville is an 18-hole, par-72 championship course (~7,300 yards) on a large golf-living estate at Dev Dholera, about 60 km southwest of Ahmedabad, with a Club Mahindra resort on site. It hosted three editions of the European Challenge Tour's Gujarat Kensville Challenge (2011–2013, last played 2013), and more recently the Professional Golf Tour of India staged its entire 2026 Qualifying School there in January 2026 — which is the firmest recent evidence that the course is in playing condition and open for competition. Sources disagree on its origins — golfpass says it opened in 2006, a 2026 round-up says built 2009 and credits Col. K.D. Bagga as designer — unresolved. Golfpass classes it private/resort yet open to the public with a driving range, rentals, caddies and the Kensville Golf Academy; the official website today markets the resort and weddings more than golf and publishes no green fees, so visitor access terms are uncertain — phone first. Old directory listings also place a "Kensville Golf Academy" in Bodakdev in central Ahmedabad, but no current evidence of that city academy was found.

The access question is now answered by the club itself. Kensville's own golf page states the "golf courses are now open for members and their guests" and publishes 25-year membership pricing (₹5 lakh / ₹8 lakh / ₹11 lakh for one, two or three nominees — the same figures the godigit round-up printed, now confirmed by the club) — but no green fee or visitor rate appears anywhere on the site, and no dated outside rate card could be found (the golftripz course page is a 404). Access is therefore best understood as members, their guests and Club Mahindra resort guests, with everyone else needing to enquire by phone; GolfPass's "open to the public" line disagrees with the club's own page. The club's page also credits design input to Jeev Milkha Singh and calls the estate roughly 40 km from Ahmedabad, against Club Mahindra's ~60 km.
