Army AEPTA Sarvatra Golf Course, Deolali
The Sarvatra Golf Course sits inside Deolali Cantonment, the artillery-school town just south of Nashik, and is run by the Army under its Environmental Park & Training Area (AEPTA) scheme — the framework under which many Army golf facilities operate. Golfpass lists it (as of August 2026) as an 18-hole, par-72 layout of about 5,900 yards with a driving range, putting green, rentals and a teaching pro, classified private/military. That the course exists is not in doubt: the Comptroller and Auditor General's 2010 audit of defence land tabulates Deolali at 215.00 acres of golf course as of August 2009 — the sixth-largest entry in a 97-station Army list — and Wikipedia's Deolali article notes that "the golf course, inside the Deolali Cantonment, was one of the largest in India at the time of its development by the British". What is missing is currency, not existence: the course has no web presence of its own, no published phone number, fees, or terms of access for the public, and searches of the Deolali Cantonment Board site, PIB, Army and cantonment domains, and Marathi-language local news turned up nothing dated 2025 or later. Nothing therefore confirms it is open today, though cantonment courses of this type are long-lived.
