This is the least secure of Maharashtra's military golf entries. Everything known about it comes from golf directory listings; nothing published by the Army or government has ever been found. More pointedly, the Comptroller and Auditor General's 2010 audit tabulates 97 Army golf courses on defence land as of August 2009 — including Belgaum, Pune, Deolali and Kamptee, the nearest comparable stations — and Kolhapur is not among them, even though this course is said to date from 1976. That is not proof the course does not exist (the CAG table is a return of land holdings and could omit a course held under other arrangements), but the question remains open. As with all Army courses nothing is published directly: no phone, no fees, no public access terms, and no dated public activity from 2025 or later was found. Golfers in the district now also have the 9-hole Kolhapur Golf Resort, which opened in January 2023.
