Whether the club is currently operating could not be confirmed as of August 2026. The club's own site carries the association's real details and silver-jubilee ("A Legacy of 25 Years") branding but not one date anywhere — no footer year and no 2025 or 2026 content — and a live-but-stale site says nothing about current activity. The Karnataka Golf Association's listing for the club is an outside page (KGA does not operate BGA), and its only dates are page-edit timestamps, which say nothing dated about the club itself. Searches for a genuinely dated 2025-or-later signal — tournament and results coverage, Belagavi local news in English and Kannada, KGA's own club page for BGA (a contentless stub, last modified 2023), and the Indian Golf Union — all came back empty, and a second domain, belgaumgolf.org, does not resolve at all.
Belagavi also has a separate Army golf course inside the cantonment, attached to the Maratha Light Infantry Regimental Centre. CAG Report No. 35 of 2010, Annexure-IV lists "Belgaum" (row 18, 113.95 acres) among 97 Army golf courses on defence land as at August 2009. That is a different facility from this association's course at Desur — the two should not be confused.
