BHEL Golf Club Bhopal
BHEL Golf Club is a 9-hole course inside the Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited sports complex at Habibganj, Bhopal — the club's own (free Wix) website calls it "a 9 hole course right in center of city" established in 1997, while golfpass says 1998; the one-year conflict stands unresolved. The club ran open and memorial tournaments through the 2010s, but its own dated content ends at January 2018, so despite golfpass listing rentals, caddies and even a teaching academy, the club's current activity level is unknown and nothing dated confirms it is active today. As a PSU employees' club it is treated as private-membership; whether outsiders can pay to play is not published.

What we knowEverything on file, and what the sources disagreed about
A relatively fresh dated report helps: Amar Ujala reported on 14 October 2024 that Madhya Pradesh's sports minister inspected the 175-acre BHEL Sports Complex, that it holds golf alongside athletics, cricket, tennis and badminton grounds in 33 acres, and that the state sports department is preparing a proposal to the central government to take the complex over from BHEL. That proves the golf ground still physically existed in late 2024 (and puts the club's tenure in play if the handover proceeds), but it is not evidence the club itself is operating, so its current status remains unknown. One caution on contact details: the number 0755-2500100 that some golf listings carry is BHEL Bhopal's corporate switchboard, published as such with its 2500101–107 alternates — not the club. The club's own mobile number from its website stands.
