Delhi Golf Club

Delhi Golf Club is the capital's flagship private members club, on about 220 acres of government-leased land off Dr Zakir Hussain Road (lease extended to 2050 per Wikipedia). It runs two courses — the championship 18-hole Lodhi course, completely redesigned by Gary Player Design in 2019, and the shorter 9-hole Peacock course — plus a practice driving range. Although it is a members club, the official site publishes "casual" non-member green fees (₹6,000 weekday / ₹8,000 weekend for 18 holes on the Lodhi; ₹1,500/₹3,000 on the Peacock; USD 95/125 for foreign visitors), plus a discounted IGU card-holder rate (₹4,500/₹7,200) and a member's-guest rate (₹1,700/₹2,500). The rate card is undated and it states that to play the Lodhi course a player must meet the handicap norms laid down by the committee, so casual access is realistic mainly for established golfers, not walk-ins. The club's reciprocal arrangements run the other way: its published reciprocity page covers DGC members visiting 19 overseas clubs and says nothing about visiting members of those clubs playing here, which is the point most directory listings get wrong. Par and yardage are not published on the official site. The 5am–7pm hours come from a Delhi Tourism page covering several places, not the club itself. How a non-member actually books is not published anywhere on the club site (as of August 2026): there is no online tee booking or stated procedure, no numeric handicap limit — only the committee-norms rule — so the practical route is to phone or email the club office and confirm both a slot and whether your handicap certificate qualifies.
