Madhuban Meadows Golf Course

An 18-hole short-ish parkland course (par 69, about 5,500 yards, rated 65.9/113) at Madhuban off the GT Road on Karnal's outskirts. This is a police facility, not an army one — worth stressing, because its "private/military" directory label invites the opposite assumption. Madhuban is the campus of the Haryana Police Academy, the Haryana Police's training institution, and the golf directory that carries the only detailed specifications for the course credits its photograph to "(Haryana Police)". Confirming the point from the other direction: the Comptroller and Auditor General's Annexure-IV table of golf courses on defence land (Report No. 35 of 2010, position as of August 2009) lists 97 army stations, and Karnal, Madhuban and Panchkula are all absent from it — this course is not on defence land and does not belong to the army EPTA system at all. No operator page for the course itself could be found: the academy's own website could not be consulted, and the Haryana Police achievements-in-sports page carries no golf content. The one dated signal is local news: Amar Ujala's Karnal edition reported on 30 May 2025 that Padam Vibhuti "of the Madhuban Police Academy, Karnal" won the North Zone sub-junior golf championship, and that her father "has been getting his daughter to practise daily at the Madhuban Academy premises for two years" — golf is being played at Madhuban now, although the report does not name the course. Karnal separately has a long golfing history around Karna Lake and the old Haryana Tourism "Oasis" complex on the Yamuna canal; travel pages still describe a "Karnal Golf Course" there, but nothing found ties those pages to this facility or proves the lakeside course still operates.
