Army Amogh Golf Course
A 9-hole Indian Army course inside the Sri Ganganagar army cantonment, listed on GolfPass as a parkland layout. A community scorecard site carries an "amogh golf greens" entry for Sri Ganganagar, corroborating that the course exists and is (or was) actually played. Both of those listings are undated and carry no reviews. The course's existence does not rest on them alone: the Comptroller and Auditor General's performance audit of Defence Estates Management (Report No. 35 of 2010) lists Sriganganagar among the 97 golf courses on defence land the Army held as of August 2009 — official, dated, and independent of every golf directory. Suratgarh appears as its own separate entry in the same table, so the Sriganganagar entry is this cantonment's course rather than the district's other one. The acreage listed against it, 585.05 acres, is far too large to be the playing area of a 9-hole course and most likely covers the whole environmental park and training-area holding; the hole count still rests on GolfPass alone. That audit also explains the naming convention used across the Army's courses: in 2004 the Chief of the Army Staff declared golf a sports activity and directed that golf courses be named "Army Environmental Park and Training Area". "Amogh" is the local army formation: press coverage of the Army Commander's September 2024 visit to Sri Ganganagar Military Station refers to the "Amogh Division", though that report mentions no golf course. The only official evidence dates from 2009, and a fresh search in August 2026 found nothing from 2025 or later, so nothing dated confirms the course is operating today. No contacts, prices, or access terms are published anywhere found. GolfPass's amenity list is repeated boilerplate across its Indian army entries and should not be treated as fact.
