Bison Golf Course (Army BEPTA)
The Bison golf course at BEPTA in Bolarum, Secunderabad, is an Indian Army facility, and it is genuinely separate from the Eagle course at EEPTA, which has its own page. The College of Defence Management — the Army's own institution at Sainikpuri, Secunderabad — states in joining instructions published in October 2025 that "Two 18 hole golf courses, viz Bison Ecology Park and Training Area (BEPTA) and Eagle Environmental Park and Training Area (EEPTA) are in close vicinity", and that participants may play by paying green fees — the best dated evidence that the course is operating. Note the Army's own expansion of the acronym is "Bison Ecology Park and Training Area"; directory listings render it "Bison Environmental Park & Training Area" (Justdial) and "Bison Environmental Protection & Training Area" (GolfPass), and the official form is the one to trust. The layout is 18 holes, par 73, about 6,430 yards (2,921 out / 3,509 in) per a directory scorecard, with a driving range known in listings as the Bepta Golf Driving Range. The course appears across listing sites under overlapping names — Bison Golf Course, Bolaram Golf Club, Army Golf Course — but the same legacy telephone number, 786-1943, runs through the 18birdies, Golf Today and fullhyd listings, so they are best read as one and the same place. Separately, Wikipedia's Secunderabad Club article notes that the club ran a golf course at Bolarum as an annex until the Indian Army took it over in 1983 on expiry of the lease; Wikipedia does not say which of the two present-day Army courses that ground became, so that history should not be pinned on Bison with confidence. Public access terms are published nowhere reliable — an undated fullhyd yellow-pages entry lists green fees, opening hours and a dress code, but nothing on it is dated and none of it can be relied on. Contact numbers in listings are in a stale format and are equally unreliable.
