Eagle Golf Course (Army EEPTA)
The Eagle golf course at EEPTA is the second Indian Army golf facility in the Secunderabad cantonment belt, genuinely separate from the nearby Bison/BEPTA course. The Army says so itself: the College of Defence Management's joining instructions for a November 2025 programme state that "Two 18 hole golf courses, viz Bison Ecology Park and Training Area (BEPTA) and Eagle Environmental Park and Training Area (EEPTA) are in close vicinity". That single sentence settles three things at once — the two courses are distinct, both were in use as of late 2025, and the EEPTA name expands to "Eagle Environmental Park and Training Area". Two independent golf directories agree on the distinctness: the scorecards differ (Eagle par 72 / 6,481 yd, Bison par 73 / 6,430 yd) and Hole19 lists them side by side as separate Secunderabad courses. Directory scorecards describe an 18-hole, par-72 course of about 6,480 yards with a driving range (mat and grass), putting green, rentals, lessons and a pro shop. Everything known about it comes from golf apps and directories; there is no official web presence and no published access policy for the public. Sources disagree on where it sits: the scorecard puts it at the Amherst Road junction in Bolarum, while the LBB listing places it at New Allenby, Yapral — a different cantonment locality — and they also disagree on length (6,481 vs 6,688 yards). One caveat: the 18birdies page displays four user reviews dated June and July 2026, but they follow a single 2019 review after a seven-year gap, no other source carries matching dated activity, and the archived copy that would settle whether those dates are real could not be retrieved — so the operating status rests entirely on the Army's own November 2025 document instead. A Gmail contact address and a Hyderabad phone number appear in directory data but could not be tied to the facility, and a .xyz "golf in India" directory link sometimes shown as its website is not official.
