Eagleton — The Golf Resort
Eagleton, opened in 1998 at Bidadi on the Bengaluru–Mysuru highway, is the city's classic pay-per-round golf resort: an 18-hole, par-72 championship course (7,100 yards from the tips, Pacific Coast Design), a 24-bay driving range, an academy and a floodlit 9-hole par-3 course, attached to a large hotel and convention complex. Non-member green fees are published on the official site (₹2,500 weekday / ₹3,500 weekend + GST, cart and club rental extra; undated, read August 2026). One material caveat, and it is unresolved: on 21 August 2021 the Karnataka High Court upheld a government order requiring the operator, Chamundeshwari Builttech, to pay ₹982 crore for illegally occupying 77 acres 19 guntas of government land inside the property, and by September 2021 the state had taken possession of that land, with a boundary fence reported to run through the 10th tee and coverage saying the course "may have to" be reduced to 9 holes. That was a prospective warning, not a reported fact, and no dated source published since September 2021 — legal, news or golf — states what the hole count actually became. The operator's own site still advertises 18 holes and Karnataka Tourism repeats it, but both are undated, and an owner page advertising a facility is not evidence that the facility survived a seizure. So: the resort itself is demonstrably alive, the 18-hole figure here is the operator's claim and nothing more, and a golfer should phone the tee-off desk and ask how many holes are in play before travelling.
