Eklingarh Greens Golf Course
A small army golf course in the Eklingarh Forest area on the southern edge of Udaipur, attached to Station Headquarters, Udaipur Military Station. Almost everything known about it comes from one TripAdvisor forum thread active around 2011-12 (closed 2013), in which a local destination expert posted the course's name, its military-station address and exchange numbers and described a 10-hole course "very close to the city" that visitors could reach only through an army contact or the Oberoi concierge. No listing, photo, review or mention from any later year was found — not on GolfPass, Justdial, or any scorecard database. One piece of official corroboration does exist, and it is older, not newer: the Comptroller and Auditor General's performance audit of Defence Estates Management (Report No. 35 of 2010) lists Udaipur in Annexure-IV, "Details of Golf Courses on Defence land", among the 97 golf courses the Army held as of August 2009. That confirms the Army did hold a golf course at Udaipur station, though the annexure names only the station and lists just 6.00 acres against it — too little land for a 10-hole course, so the two sources agree that something exists but not on its size. The same audit notes the 2004 order of the Chief of the Army Staff that reclassified golf as a sports activity and renamed Army golf courses "Army Environmental Park and Training Area", the naming convention visible across the Army's other Rajasthan courses. A search of official military and government material for Udaipur/Eklingarh otherwise turned up only the military station itself and institutions named for it, with no document mentioning a golf course. Whether the course still exists in playable form is genuinely unknown; nothing dated 2025 or later refers to it, and the station remaining active makes quiet continued existence plausible but unproven.
