Thenzawl Golf Resort
Thenzawl Golf Resort is an unusual venture for the Northeast: an 18-hole course (played over shared fairways) with a 30-hut eco resort, opened in 2020 about 3 km from Thenzawl town in Serchhip district. It is owned by the Tourism Department of the Government of Mizoram and operated by the Mizoram Tourism Development Authority, and is public in principle — anyone can pay to stay and play. In practice, information is thin: no phone or email is published anywhere and the green fee is unpublished. An undated post on the Mizoram Tourism portal states that online booking for the resort's facilities is mandatory at www.thenzawlgolfresort.com, with no non-online payments entertained. That official domain, however, shows little more than a one-paragraph ownership statement — most likely a booking app that does not load without JavaScript — and its www address has a broken security certificate, so it is of little practical help. Visitor reports put huts at roughly ₹4,000 a night (2023, low confidence) and say caddies and carts are available on payment. The newest dated public evidence found is still TripAdvisor reviews from December 2023 (the tourism portal's own newest dated content is from January 2025 and never mentions the resort), so nothing dated confirms the resort is operating today.
