TNGF–Cosmo Golf Club
The Tamil Nadu Golf Federation's 18-hole course (par 72, about 5,700 yards from the blue tees) sits on the Cosmopolitan Club's golf links land at Nandanam on Anna Salai, which is why sources name it variously "TNGF", "Cosmo" or "Cosmopolitan Club Golf Links" — all the same course. It is the busiest documented golf course in Chennai and is demonstrably active in 2026: the federation ran its own five-week TPL 2026 team championship here between 25 February and 25 March 2026, and the Professional Golf Tour of India's current season calendar has the Chennai Open 2026 booked at this course for 8–11 September 2026 with entries already closed. (It also hosted the PGTI Chennai Open in September 2025.) Sources disagree on length: the printed blue-tee card runs 5,692 yards over a par 72, while the federation's own 2026 press release describes "an 18-hole, par-72 course spanning 6,225 yards" without naming a tee — quite possibly a different tee set rather than a real contradiction. No green fee is published anywhere — the federation's own site lists none — so call ahead for fees. The federation runs a golf academy on site. Note also that tngf.in, while genuinely the federation's own site, has not been refreshed in some time — its copyright reads 2024 and its tournament calendar is still the 2022–23 season — so treat anything on it as possibly out of date. Finally, the +91-44-2435-9687 number appears on directory listings for other Chennai courses too, so verify who answers.
