Ananda in the Himalayas, the luxury destination spa in the Maharaja of Tehri's palace estate at Narendra Nagar above Rishikesh, has a tiny 6-hole, par-18 golf layout of 489 yards designed by Ranjit Nanda in 2009, with a practice range, putting green, caddies, rental clubs and a teaching pro per golfpass. The resort itself is unambiguously operating (live bookings, 2025 industry awards, 2026 copyright on the official site), and although golf is absent from the current homepage, the resort's own Wellness Experiences menu and price list, served live from anandaspa.com, sells a 60-minute "Golf round (6 holes)" at ₹3,500 plus taxes among its current guest activities — the owner naming the facility as currently offered. For perspective, the newest dated outside golf mention found is a February 2017 TripAdvisor review ("A beautifully maintained golf course is a beautiful sight"). Access is resort-guest only in any case, at Ananda's five-star price point.
