Army Golf Course Srinagar
Inside Badami Bagh Cantonment, the Indian Army's major garrison in Srinagar, sits a 9-hole course (par 35, about 2,920 yards from the white tees). Its hole count, par, yardage and facilities come from an undated GolfPass directory listing, which also mentions a putting green, club and pull-cart rental, a restaurant and locker rooms; the listing is unusually detailed rather than obvious template filler, so those details are worth repeating. Two further documents corroborate that a course exists here: the CAG's August 2009 table of golf courses on defence land, which carries both a "Srinagar" and a "B B Cantt" (Badami Bagh Cantonment) army entry, and a July 2018 report that the then Army Chief banned officers from playing golf at Badami Bagh Cantonment as part of a wider bar on golf in operationally active areas of Jammu & Kashmir and the North-East. Nothing found says the ban was lifted, and nothing dated 2025 or later mentions the course at all, so whether it is playable today is genuinely unknown — because of the ban's uncertain fate, not merely for want of a source. As a cantonment facility its access terms are unpublished, and entry to Badami Bagh for the general public is tightly controlled. The listing's phone number is oddly formatted and could not be attributed to the course or to any Badami Bagh station line, so it is not repeated here.

What we knowEverything on file, and what the sources disagreed about
This is a distinct course from Srinagar's two non-military courses and should not be confused with either: Royal Springs Golf Course is the J&K Tourism-owned 18-hole championship course on the Dal Lake foreshore at Cheshmashahi, and Kashmir Golf Club is the old members' club on Maulana Azad Road. This is the army's own course inside the cantonment, several kilometres from both.
