Army White Knight Nagrota Golf Course

18 HOLES · PAR 72

An 18-hole army course (par 72, 5,867 yards from the back tees) at Nagrota Cantonment outside Jammu, home of the Indian Army's XVI Corps, which is formally the White Knight Corps — hence the name. Its hole count, par and yardage come from an undated golfpass directory listing. That listing also shows a golf simulator, an indoor practice area and "walking allowed", but the identical three-item set appears on unrelated thin golfpass entries — including another J&K army course at Uri — while a properly populated entry for the army course at Udhampur lists nine quite different amenities and no simulator. The trio is a template default, not an observation about Nagrota, so no simulator or indoor practice area is credited here.

What we knowEverything on file, and what the sources disagreed about

The Comptroller and Auditor General's August 2009 audit of golf courses on defence land does list Nagrota among 97 army stations with a course, at 157.88 acres, which independently establishes that a real course exists here and that it is a substantial one. That is the only evidence found beyond directory listings: searches of Indian Army and government sites, the Press Information Bureau, and English, Hindi and Jammu & Kashmir regional press turned up nothing about this course at all, and nothing of any date since 2009. As an army facility its access terms are unpublished, and with no evidence from 2025 or later, its current state cannot be confirmed.
