Garuda Golf Institute, Kamptee
The Garuda Golf Institute is the Army's golf facility at the Guards Regimental Centre in Kamptee, the cantonment town on Nagpur's north-eastern edge. Directories list a 9-hole parkland course — the par-72 / 6,204-yard card almost certainly reflects two loops from different tees — plus a driving range, caddies, rentals and a teaching professional. The course itself is well established: the CAG's 2010 audit of golf courses on defence land records 70 acres at "Kamti" as of August 2009, and the Vidarbha Golf Association lists it among the region's playable courses.

The hole count is contested rather than settled: GolfPass calls it nine holes but publishes a par-72, 6,204-yard card, while both the Vidarbha Golf Association and Hole19 describe the Kamptee army course — under the name GEPTA, for Guards Environmental Park & Training Area — as an 18-hole layout. The likeliest reading is nine greens played twice off different tees, but it is not proven. And do not read the "institute" branding as coaching open to the public: the booking site bookmyplayer reports the opposite — access is restricted, with only army officers allowed. No fees or access procedure are published anywhere, no official Army or cantonment document naming the course could be found, and no dated public activity from 2025 or later exists.
