Karnataka Golf Association

The Karnataka Golf Association runs Bengaluru's flagship championship course at Kodihalli on Old Airport Road, next to Embassy Golf Links. It is a members' club, but its published green-fee sheet admits IGU-registered golfers, walk-ins and members' guests (₹3,000 weekday / ₹5,000 weekend and public holidays), with half rates for affiliated clubs (₹1,500 / ₹2,500). The same sheet lists named reciprocal tiers including Kimmane Golf Terrain, Belur Club, Bangalore Golf Club and Tollygunge Club Kolkata, plus several overseas clubs; a fuller affiliated-club list is published separately at kga.in/affiliated-clubs-list/. The driving range is explicitly open to non-members at ₹1,000 per hour with unlimited balls, and a short-game (putting/chipping) area is available to guests at ₹500 + GST per hour, with an 18% GST note on the page. None of the rate pages carries an effective date, so all prices here are recorded as observed on the official site in August 2026 rather than as a stated revision. Karnataka Tourism describes an 18-hole course over 124 acres; KGA's own course page gives par 72 at 7,219 yards on 125 acres, designed by Peter Thompson.

KGA remains a regular host of professional golf: the PGTI's Bengaluru Open 2025, powered by IndianOil, was played on the course from 7–10 October 2025. On the access question the club's own pages pull in two directions, and the conflict is unresolved: the green-fee card's "Walk-in Members" tier reads like a priced walk-up route, but the separate guest- fee schedule lists golf for "other guests not introduced by members" as not permitted, while admitting members' guests, IGU tournament players and named affiliated clubs (Coimbatore, Belgaum, United Services, Mercara Downs, Wellington Gymkhana and others, mostly capped at four visits a month) at a nominal ₹150 guest fee on top of green fees. Booking is app-first for members — the KGA Golf App takes tee-time and buggy bookings — and no booking route at all is published for non-members, so the reception line is the practical entry for the range or a green-fee round. Buggies (₹1,000–1,600 per round for non-members, free or discounted for senior members in set windows) and caddies (₹600–1,000 for 18 holes by grade) are priced by the club; club hire is published nowhere on the site. TripAdvisor rates the course 4.5 of 5 across 30 reviews (most recent February 2025).
