Kundale Golf Club
Kundale (also spelt Kundala) Golf Club is a nine-hole, par-35 course of about 3,080 yards, dated to 1918, laid out in the tea plantations near Kundala Lake on the Top Station road east of Munnar town. Its existence rests on more than one source: Kerala Tourism, KTDC and munnar.com all independently describe a golf course at Kundala belonging to Tata Tea Ltd — which also settles who runs it: the sources say Tata Tea Ltd, not KDHP, so "KDHP" survives only as common usage without corroboration. Every one of those corroborating pages is undated outside writing, though, and none of the bodies concerned operates the course. Nothing dated 2025 or later was found, so the course very likely exists, but nothing dated proves it is open today.

What we knowEverything on file, and what the sources disagreed about
The visitor route is the real gap and it has been made honest rather than guessed. The
previous access_model: booking-required was an inference, not a sourced fact: Golfpass
classes the course "Private/Resort" while simultaneously asserting it "is open to the
public", says nothing about booking, and no other reachable source publishes a green fee,
guest policy, dress code or contact for playing here. The field is therefore nulled and
logged as contested. A visitor should assume nothing about being able to play.
4moles was checked and rejected outright: it prints 18 holes, a slope of 113 and the architect "Graham Cooke" for this course. The 113 is the slope Golfpass prints for the High Range Club, and Graham Cooke has no connection to a 1918 plantation course — that entry is contaminated template filler and none of it is recorded.
Not the same facility as the High Range Club. These are two distinct Munnar-area courses, not one course under an estate name. High Range Club's nine holes sit on that club's own grounds in Munnar town, described on its own website as "its own well maintained 9-hole golf course"; Kundale's nine sit roughly 20 km away at Kundala village, and the tourism sources attribute it to Tata Tea Ltd rather than to any planters' club. Golfpass's Kerala directory lists them as two separate Munnar/Idukki entries with different specifications (High Range 9/par 33/2,595 yd/built 1905/phone 04865 230-253; Kundale 9/par 35/3,080 yd/built 1918/phone 9447 501-070). The one value they share is the 685612 PIN, which is Munnar's town postcode and may simply be a directory default. No other Munnar golf facility appears in any source consulted.
