Mahanadi Golf Course
An 18-hole, par-72 course of just under 6,000 yards at Jagriti Vihar in Burla, near Sambalpur and the Hirakud reservoir in western Odisha, founded 1998. The club's own website, mahanadigolfclub.com, settles who runs it: the club operates "Under the aegis of Mahanadi Coalfields Limited, Miniratna Subsidiary of Coal India Limited", from "The Hut" in Jagruti Vihar. The site names the course as existing, publishes seasonal play timings (summer 06:00–09:00), club rules and an officials table, and hosts the brochure of the All India PSU Golf tournament 2022-23 (dated February 2023) — the newest dated evidence of activity. That February 2023 brochure is also where the trail stops: the site carries no year in its footer and image assets from 2022, so it cannot show the club is operating today, and nothing dated confirms it is open now. GolfPass lists a full facility set — driving range, teaching pros, rentals. One of only a handful of documented 18-hole courses in Odisha, and the only one found in the state's west.
