Shivalik EPTA Chandimandir Golf Course
An 18-hole, par-72 course of about 6,800 yards from the championship tees inside Chandimandir Cantonment on the eastern edge of Panchkula — the cantonment that houses the Indian Army's Western Command headquarters. The detailed specifications come from a golf directory that dates the course to 1962 and credits it with a full practice setup (range, bunker, short-game areas, teaching pro) plus rentals, caddies and a bar; Wikipedia's article on the cantonment separately confirms a course is there, saying of the western section that "to the north of this hill is a golf course and helipad". The course is currently active: The Tribune reported on 21 March 2025 that the Pentangular Championship is "played among five clubs including, Army Golf Club Ambala, Army Golf Club Patiala, Chandimandir Golf Club, Panchkula Golf Club and Chandigarh Golf Club". The "EPTA" in the name is official usage: the CAG's audit of Defence Estates Management (Report No. 35 of 2010) notes that in 2004 the Chief of the Army Staff declared golf a sports activity and directed that golf courses be named Army Environmental Park and Training Areas. Curiously, Chandimandir does not appear in that report's table of 97 golf courses on defence land as of August 2009; the absence is unexplained, but it does not disprove the course. Do not confuse it with Panchkula Golf Course in Sector 3 — a separate 18-hole, par-72, 135-acre facility "run by the Haryana Government", opened in 2003, which The Tribune lists as a distinct fifth club. The directory calls this course "public", but the army publishes no access terms of its own and no official army or government page for the course could be found, so treat access as restricted and unpublished.
