Annandale Golf Course

Annandale (historically "Annadale") is the flat valley ground below Shimla's Kaithu area, about 2 km from the railway station, controlled by the Indian Army's Training Command (ARTRAC), whose headquarters is in Shimla. It holds the city's only golf course — a 9-hole, par-33 layout of about 2,500 yards per a golf directory, with a driving range and short-game practice areas — alongside an army helipad and the Army Heritage Museum (opened 2006). Wikipedia notes the army successfully resisting a proposal to convert the ground into a cricket stadium around 2011, underscoring how firmly it remains a military facility.
