Army Rising Star Yol Golf Course

The only golf documented in the Dharamshala area is this 9-hole army course at Yol Cantonment on the Palampur–Dharamshala road, listed under the "Rising Star" name used by the corps headquartered at Yol. The single directory listing covering it is sparse: nine holes, cart and pull-cart ticks, walking permitted — no par, length, phone, or dates. The GolfPass listing also ticks "Golf Simulator" and "Indoor Practice"; that pair is boilerplate the directory adds to thin entries, and on an entry this sparse it is almost certainly template residue rather than evidence of a simulator at an army cantonment — do not expect one. As an army cantonment facility its access terms are unpublished, and with no dated evidence at all its current condition is unknown (an August 2026 search returned only travel pages with auto-generated year stamps). No public course, range, or simulator was found in Dharamshala or McLeodganj proper.
