Beldih Golf Course

Beldih is Jamshedpur's flagship golf course, attached to the Beldih Club (est. 1920, long presided over by Tata leadership) at the Beldih Triangle in the Tata Steel company town. The club's own site describes a 9-hole, immaculately kept course that hosts the Tata Open — the PGTI-supported tournament Jamshedpur's two courses have run jointly since 2002 per Wikipedia — and a Golf Academy for young golfers, with the BOC pavilion used for tournaments. Golfpass gives par 36 over 3,400 yards from the men's tees, while Wikipedia calls Beldih "around 6,000 yards" and the city's biggest — most plausibly an 18-play (double-loop) yardage, but the conflict stands. The official website is live yet visibly stale (© 2023 footer; it still lists Ratan Tata, who died in October 2024, as current president), so treat its details cautiously. Tournament evidence, though, shows the course is active: the Tata Open 2025, a PGTI event with a ₹2 crore purse, was played and completed across Beldih and Golmuri on 25–28 December 2025, with the final-round leaders playing their back nine at Beldih (Yuvraj Sandhu won, per the dated 28-12-2025 result coverage and PGTI's own tournament page).

Pass-C additions (2026-08-24): golf at Beldih is administered by the Jamshedpur Golf Club (jamshedpurgolf.in), whose live, actively maintained site — it lists 2026 tournaments including the Parvez Mehta Trophy and the 48th Jubilee Golf — publishes playing hours (sunrise to sunset daily except Mondays, open all year), a club-wide charges page and a Book Tee portal. Crucially for access, the charges page prices rounds for non-members: ₹1,750/₹2,000 (weekday/weekend) for Indian nationals, ₹2,000/₹2,500 for foreign nationals, ₹1,100/₹1,500 for accompanied member's guests and IGU members, with affiliated-club reciprocals from nil to ₹750 — so the "private" tag in practice means green-fee visitor play, booked by phone (the online portal needs an account). One new conflict is on record: the operator's own Beldih page carries a full 18-hole, par-72 scorecard and its homepage says "6,900 yards", against the nine-hole descriptions on the Beldih Club site, golfpass and Wikipedia — most plausibly nine greens played twice from different tees, left unresolved for the ground team.
