Golmuri Golf Club

Golmuri Golf Club is the second of Jamshedpur's two Tata-town courses, laid out in 1927 on the campus of The Tinplate Company of India in Golmuri, east Jamshedpur. GolfPass lists an 18-hole, par-71 course of 6,600 yards (architect Ranjit Nanda) with a driving range, putting green, caddies and cart/club hire; Wikipedia, by contrast, calls Golmuri the smaller and "although smaller… also challenging" partner to Beldih's ~6,000 yards — the two descriptions don't reconcile cleanly and probably reflect a nine-green layout played to eighteen. Together with Beldih it has hosted the Tata Open on the PGTI calendar since 2002. It is a private club with no website found; its phone number comes from GolfPass and is not confirmed by the club. The course is demonstrably operating: the Tata Open 2025 (PGTI, ₹2 crore purse) was played and completed across Golmuri and Beldih on 25–28 December 2025, with the final-round leaders playing their front nine at Golmuri (Yuvraj Sandhu won, per the dated 28-12-2025 result coverage and PGTI's own tournament page).

Golmuri is unusually well documented. The club's own site (golmuriclub.in, © 2025 and actively maintained) confirms the club was founded on 10 December 1927 by European officials of the Tinplate Company, and that the course — begun as nine holes in 1928 — is today a full 18-hole, par-72 championship layout; the Jamshedpur Golf Club operator site carries a matching hole-by-hole card and playing hours (sunrise to sunset daily except Wednesdays, open all year). The owners' par of 72 is the figure to trust over golfpass's 71, and it is a genuine 18 holes, not nine greens played twice (Wikipedia notes a Tata Open played entirely on Golmuri as a single 18-hole course). A yardage discrepancy remains (golfpass 6,600 vs the operator's ~6,300–6,400). On access, the operator's club-wide charges page prices rounds for non-members (₹1,750/₹2,000 weekday/weekend Indian nationals; ₹1,100/₹1,500 accompanied guests and IGU members; ₹2,000/₹2,500 foreign nationals), and the club lists a Golfing-only membership tier plus a Booking Clerk phone line — so there is a published visitor route.
