Kovai Hills Golf & Country Club

A golf-themed integrated township near Kalampalayam/Perur on Coimbatore's Palakkad side, whose David Hemstock-designed 27 holes — an 18-hole, par-72, 7,050-yard championship course plus a 9-hole academy course — were reported physically complete in late 2013, with the short course already in play and the championship course due to open in early 2014. The course was actually built, not merely announced: David Hemstock's own practice website lists Kovai Hills as a delivered project for the developer Rakindo. Since then the public trail evaporates. The township's website still serves — though only on the bare domain, the www host having stopped resolving — but what it serves is the untouched 2013–14 sales brochure, with no golf content and no sign of maintenance; its own golf page would not load at all. No tournament, review or news item mentioning golf here after 2013 could be found, and the remaining listings are undated directory stubs. Nobody publishes who may play: two GolfPass stubs call it a resort "open to the public", but that claim has no support elsewhere, so no access terms can honestly be stated. The turf was planted and the holes exist (or existed); whether anyone can play them today, or whether the course has reverted to scrub as many Indian township courses have, is unknown.
