Panther Golf Course (PEPTA)

Amritsar's principal golf course is the army's Panther Ecological Park & Training Area (PEPTA) course in Amritsar Cantonment on the Grand Trunk Road: 18 holes, par 72, with a putting green and — per Hole19 but not per GolfPass, whose twelve-item amenity list omits it — a driving range. Golf here dates to 1926 per one directory, which also credits Ranjit Nanda as architect. Sources disagree noticeably on length (6,715 yards off the blue tees per GolfPass, against a 6,055-yard men's card on Hole19). It appears in user scorecard apps under "PEPTA Amritsar", which suggests real play, and the CAG's 2010 audit of defence land shows a 52.00-acre golf course at Amritsar station as of August 2009 — independent confirmation that an Army course exists here, though that document lists stations rather than courses and is far too old to say anything about the present. No source with a 2025-or-later date was found, and, as an army facility, no access terms are published. Searches found no evidence of a separate public or tourism-department "Amritsar Golf Club" — directory entries under that kind of name resolve to this army course.
