Protouch Golf Academy
Protouch Golf Academy, run by Kolkata-based Protouch Sports, is the city's most visible golf coaching operation. Its "Tolly Golf Centre" sits on the Tollygunge Club grounds at 120 Deshapran Sasmal Road and packs in a driving range, an advanced coaching studio, a club-fitting studio, bunker and chipping areas, a putting-analysis studio and a five-hole putting area; the academy dates itself to 1990. The company office is at 73 Moore Avenue, Regent Park. The official site publishes hours (Tue–Sun, 7:30am–7:30pm, closed Monday) and three phone/WhatsApp numbers, but no prices: a junior-programme charge sheet is offered as a PDF download whose rates are not readable on any page. The site itself is live but shows no evidence of being maintained (its only date anywhere is a site-wide 2024 copyright footer, identical on every page), so it says nothing about how current the operation is. Dated, independent evidence does exist, though: a national news feature of 1 January 2026 describes the academy running its "Champion For Life" initiative with the Bengal Golf Association, which is why it can be considered operating. The critical gap: no source states whether clubs or equipment are available to someone who owns none — that is the single most important unanswered question here.
