Golf in Kolkata
Also searched as Calcutta · 6 places to play · updated Aug 2026
Kolkata is where golf outside Britain began — the Royal Calcutta, founded 1829, still calls itself the home of Indian golf and still publishes a visitor route from ₹1,500 as a member's guest (or ₹10,000 walk-in). What makes the city special now is the other end: Eco Park Golf Arena in New Town, built by the state government expressly to make golf affordable — ₹590 to play nine holes, ₹118 for 50 balls, coaching at ₹2,360 a month, no membership and no introduction. Oldest club in the country; cheapest published way in.

How this page is built6 places, each with its own sources and dates · also: Calcutta
Every figure comes from the place’s own published rate card unless its page says otherwise, and each carries the month we read it. Where a place publishes nothing, the row says so rather than leaving a blank. One page per market: Calcutta all lead here.
